Community Engagement

The Five Marks of Mission which have been adopted by the Anglican Church in this country are to do with Proclaiming the Gospel; Nurture; Helping those in need; Standing out against injustice; and Preserving the Integrity of Creation.

In MINE we see these five marks of mission as being crucial to how we shape the lives and the work of our churches – and, in many ways, they are about the way in which we as faith communities engage with the world around us.

The Community Engagement role, therefore, involves helping each of the churches in MINE to become more and more aware of the issues that face the world around us – both in the immediate communities we serve, as well further afield too – and then prayerfully discerning how each faith community might use the resources it has to respond to these issues in such a way that God’s Kingdom may come closer.
